The superman exercise! 💪🏼

I want to show you one of my favorite
exercises for spinal health. There’s
one, if there’s one exercise that I can
recommend that everyone do that is good
for almost your entire body and your
health, it’s called the superman. And
what’s great about this exercise is that
it’s safe. You can do it anywhere. You
just need an open floor space and
yourself. So, let me give you uh a
demonstration here.
So, for the yoga for this superman, you
can use a yoga mat on the floor. You’re
just going to start off by laying on
your stomach. And what you’ll do is
you’ll have your hands out to the side.
The first progression is just the upper
body and your torso, keeping your thumbs
up. You’re just going to raise your
upper body up to a point where you you
think it’s the highest you can go.
giving your muscles of your lower back
and your shoulder a nice squeeze at the
top and then coming back down and again
back down.
Now the second progression is where we
also include our lower body as well
which includes our legs. In this case
we’re also going to bring our legs up as
well. Holding for about one second at
the top giving your glutes a nice
squeeze as well.
